We Transform Young Minds
Teens Sphere Initiative, TSI is a teen-focused Initiative, structured to bridge learning gaps among vulnerable adolescents in the most deprived regions in Nigeria.
Teens Sphere Initiative is a holistic programme aim to provide equal opportunity to every teen to attain quality education that will help in their transitioning process to becoming adults who will positively impact their society.
TSI believes education should be equitable and inclusive, hence the need to ensure the giant in every teen is adequately nurtured through active involvement, mentoring and gender-responsive interventions.
A future where every teen will have the opportunity to attain a quality education, unlock their full potentials and contribute to the development of their respective communities.
To mobilize passionate change-makers who will drive the movement towards gender-responsive solutions and educational interventions to overcome learning barriers and difficulties experienced by adolescents in Nigeria.

IMPACT STORY
“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.”
These were the words that hovered in our mind when we first arrived in a low-income community in the Magbon area of Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos state in December 2020.
There existed a wide gap in the learning experiences of the students in the community, which was evident in their lack of interest in learning and perpetual absenteeism from school.
Our desire to see an improvement in the quality of education experienced by her learners led us to simplify contents in subject areas in Mathematics, Physics and Biological Science, by leveraging technology and using activity-based learning.
We volunteered to tutor and coach young people after school hours and developed instructional content that addressed each learner’s needs.
We leveraged the use of technology to improve learners’ learning experiences in the classroom by projecting lessons and using hands-on activities to stimulate the learners’ interest. We coached several of our students and led them to victories across the zone.
One such victory was the Tolaram Science Competition, where our students were awarded UTME scholarships with cash prizes.
We are leading innovations that address the health, hygiene and empowerment of teenage girls in marginalized communities and continue impacting the educational trajectory of learners in low-income communities.
